Current system of education in South Sudan but not in details:


Nursery or Preschool (Kindergarten ):

Baby Class: 1
Medium Class: 2
& Upper Class: 3  Then to Basic
In others nursey: Baby class which is class: 1 & Top Class: 2 Then to Basic
Private
Age to join Nursery: 3
Governmental
3 or above
Basic Education/ Private Schools
From Basic: 1 – 8 then to Secondary and some are being followed East Africa Countries or British System of Education.
For instance Dr. John International School & others are being followed British system of education.  Nile academic in Hai Jubel from Nursery up to Secondary have his or her own system.
Governmental Schools:
From Basic: 1 – 8 then to join Secondary education.
Secondary Education
 First – third Year( 1 – 3 years) then to join university but  some are being followed East Africa System.
High Education/University:
Diploma:  3 years
Degree:  4 or 5 years depends on the college or performance otherwise, 4 years.
Medicine: 6 years.
Effort is being processed for us to have our own system this year.
Ministry of education is expected this week to decide whether for the current third year secondary to sit for Sudan certificate or to sit for South Sudan Certificate. Printing machines were recently received in Juba but still a lot needed to from our educationists. By Bullen Herbert
